She *bears the image of God which is Love. Being a “true” friend to me, Angel has sacrificed her precious time to comfort & counsel me.

I am moved by her *tender loving kindness & acts of grace shown to me as she has put aside her other commitments to attend to my personal needs.

I was very touched when she removed her special stainless steel bracelet from her wrist & put it on my wrist.

Because she spotted me strapping my handphone around my hand. I told her I did so because I did not want to miss any calls.

Angel believed her special bracelet would be able to remove the radiation. This bracelet is costly & yet she gave to me.

On a separate occasion, she gave me a big bottle of expensive advanced skincare cream when I complained to her about my tormenting skin problem.

Recently, I shared with her that I had a lot of stress & my immune system was weakened due to late nights of work.

Being *caring & loving, she offered to give me Chicken Essence & an expensive bottle of multi-vitamins.

DTM Angel is indeed a *great blessing to me & to the Toastmasters.

•2004 – She won Toastmasters Idol Award.

31. ATMBCL Clara Lee:-I was the incoming treasurer of Yio Chu Kang CC Toastmasters club. I got to know about DTM Angel Lucy Tan through my sister before I met her.

 My sister shared how Angel had spent about 2 hours correcting her script and explaining to her. She even highlighted ways to improve her prepared speech. Under her guidance, my sister‘s public speaking skills improved by leaps and bounds.

Her dedication in her work attracted me to join the Speechcraft course and then later joined the Yio Chu Kang CC Toastmasters Club.  

 

DTM Angel Lucy Tan is also highly committed and always strived to do her best. Her preparation before meeting allowed for smooth running of the meetings.

The meetings were well-planned and the evaluators were well-chosen by her. They started and ended punctually.

33. Varu Karunakaran:-DTM Angel Lucy Tan was the president of the Culture Society and Toastmaster for the year 2003/04.

 

DTM Angel always planned well for the meeting, conducted them very well and managed the Culture Society Toastmaster Club in a professional manner where participants appreciated her style.

She informed and reminded the members, guests, District Officers and other club invitees before the meeting to ensure a smooth passage during the meeting.

 

DTM Angel worked hard with a lot of enthusiasm and encouraged many outsiders to join a toastmaster club to improve their speaking talents. She worked tirelessly until now.  

Her meeting were always house full with excellent speakers and evaluators complete with Ah counter, Language Evaluator and General Evaluator etc.

She has been praised for her special ability as Language Evaluator. While many other Language Evaluators frequently offended the speakers and some times made wrong corrections.

Because of the style she has been adopting for correcting the language use, impress many of the speakers very well and they showed their appreciation to her for the language evaluation. She is in demand from other clubs to be their Language Evaluator during Toastmaster meeting.

 

DTM Angel Tan was my mentor. She had guided me and encouraged me to present my projects quickly. She even wrote my speeches based on my draft and revised several times before I present them. She never said that it was last moment or you should have submitted at least a day before.

 

DTM Angel was also active in Breakthrough and several other clubs. Many of the club members including me considered her as a role model and as  a Toastmaster club president. I strongly vote for her as the best Toastmaster of the year.
